TIME TO IMPLEMENT EDC FOR PHASE I TRIALS?

The overall EDC solution results in gain of flexibility, reduction of the time to market and reduction of the costs of new medications. While these benefits are being recognized for phase II and III trials, EDC is often overlooked when it comes to phase I trials. However, with the increasingly complex trial designs being utilized in Phase I and the need for near real time data EDC certainly could have additional value for Phase I trials as well.
