TAS implements trade assurance and environmental support programs on behalf of governments and international institutions. Under pre-shipment inspection contracts, TAS inspects and reviews at the point of shipment the quantity, quality and price of goods to ensure that import duties are correctly declared and that such goods comply with the laws and relevant customs regulations of the importing country. Beside this PSI activity, new services using the core TAS skills of inspection, customs valuation, independent monitoring, and validation of declared information have been developed.

Systems and Services Certification (SSC), a member of the SGS Group, is committed to the practical implementation of international standards throughout the industry. A leader in Third Party Registration, SGS has delivered over 70,000 accredited certificates worldwide, covering the following products: ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, QS-9000, QS-9000/TE, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9000 in Healthcare, CE Mark, ISO 13485, AS9000 and AS9100, TL 9000, SA 8000, and OHSAS 18001.
In addition to third party registration, SGS provides second party supplier audits, second party service audits, Qualicert, Qualifor services and is approved by TAPA to provide security audits to their Freight Security Requirements.

The Registration Process
SGS is available to discuss the particular requirements of an organization by visiting your facility or by a phone call from one of our trained professionals. The completion of our registration questionnaire will enable SGS to provide you with an obligation free proposal. Once we receive an Application Form, we can commence the registration process which includes a Phase 1 audit with documentation review (either on or off site)and a Phase 2 on-site audit. Upon satisfactory completion of the audit and review of the report, a certificate of registration is issued. Annual or bi-annual surveillance visits ensure continued compliance.
