• Implementing and operating a Safety Management System (SMS).
• SMS’ Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle.
• Internal audit requirements.

Day two

• Skills and tactics of an auditing team.
• Planning and preparation techniques.
• Performing the audit.
• Classification/reporting of findings.
• The registration process.

Objectives
Through lectures, discussions, and workshops, you will:

• Understand and learn to interpret the OHSAS 18001 health and safety
• anagement system specification and how to apply it to your own company.
• Learn the principles and practices of health and safety management system auditing based on this specification.
• Develop skills to plan, prepare, and perform value-added OHSAS 18001 audits.

Who should attend?
This course is highly beneficial for individuals involved in planning and implementing OHSAS 18001-based health and safety management systems in their organization as well as for personnel who will manage, conduct or participate in internal audits.

This course is intended for participants with little or no knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and little or no experience conducting audits.
